The person behind GreenThumb Notes
Hi, I’m Dominik, a home and garden enthusiast from Vienna, Austria, and the writer and owner of GreenThumb Notes.
For me, gardening has always been more than planting flowers or growing vegetables. It is a reminder that growth takes time, patience and care. Whether you have a big backyard, a tiny balcony or a few pots on a windowsill, I believe gardening can change not only your space but your mindset too.
I started GreenThumb Notes to share the joy of growing things with people who feel the same way. Every article is reviewed by me before it is published, because your garden deserves more than generic advice. Read more about me.

GreenThumb Notes is an independent home and garden blog with practical, inspiring and easy-to-follow ideas for gardeners at every level. It is a personal project, not a corporate publication. Our content is here to inspire and inform you, not to sell you something.
Our editorial standards
Accuracy and helpfulness
Every article is researched before it is published. Garden advice that doesn’t work wastes your time, money and effort, so we aim for guidance you can trust and act on. We revisit articles regularly so they stay current and fit the season.
Independence
We choose topics, ideas and products based on what is useful for readers, never because of commercial pressure. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence on what we write or how we write it.
Fairness and transparency
We are open about who we are, how we make money and how we create content. Sponsored content and articles with affiliate links are always clearly marked at the top. We do not accept payment for positive reviews.
Sources and credit
When an idea, photo or pin comes from another creator, we credit them and link to the original wherever possible. Many articles embed the original Pinterest pin, so you can see the creator’s own post.
How articles are made
- Topic research: I pick topics from what readers search for, the current season and my own experience in the garden.
- Writing: articles are written from my own knowledge and research. AI writing tools sometimes help with research, drafts and structure.
- Review and editing: I personally review, edit and approve every article, checking accuracy, safety, tone and whether it is useful for real gardens.
- Images: photos and pins are chosen to show each idea clearly and to fit the natural look of GreenThumb Notes.
- Publishing and updates: an article goes live only when I am happy with it, and I update it when I find something better or out of date.
Our use of AI tools
To be fully transparent: AI tools help with research, drafting and structure, and some images may be created or edited with AI. AI is a tool to work more efficiently, not a replacement for my own judgement. The ideas, plant recommendations and final decisions are always mine. Details are in our AI Content Policy.
Advertising and affiliate links
Editorial content and advertising are kept separate. Some articles may contain affiliate links, for example through the Amazon Associates program. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links only appear where they are relevant, and every article that contains them says so at the top. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
If we ever publish sponsored content, it is clearly labelled, and our editorial standards apply in full.

If you spot a mistake, outdated information or anything that doesn’t seem right, please get in touch or email support@greenthumbnotes.com. We take corrections seriously, check every report and fix errors promptly.
