Meet the Person Behind Green Thumb Notes

Hi, I’m Dominik — a home and garden enthusiast from Vienna, Austria, and the writer and owner of Green Thumb Notes.

For me, gardening has always been more than just planting flowers or growing vegetables. It’s a reminder that growth takes time, patience, and care — just like in life. Whether you have a sprawling backyard, a tiny balcony, or just a few pots on a windowsill, I believe gardening has the power to transform not only your space but your mindset too.

I started Green Thumb Notes to share the joy of growing things with people who feel the same way. Every article I write is driven by a genuine love of plants, outdoor spaces, and the simple satisfaction of watching something flourish.

Every article on this blog is written and personally reviewed by me. I put real thought and care into each piece — because I believe your garden deserves more than generic advice.

What Green Thumb Notes Stands For

Green Thumb Notes is an independent home and garden blog dedicated to sharing practical, inspiring, and accessible ideas for gardeners and outdoor living enthusiasts at every level. We are not a corporate publication — this is a personal passion project, and that’s what makes it different.

Our content is here to inspire and inform you, not to sell you something. When we do include product links, we only recommend things we genuinely think will add value to your garden or home.

Our Editorial Standards

Accuracy & Helpfulness

We take accuracy seriously. Every article is carefully researched before publication. Gardening advice that doesn’t work isn’t just unhelpful — it can waste your time, money, and effort. We aim to give you guidance you can actually trust and act on.

If we discover an error after publishing, we correct it promptly and transparently. We also revisit our articles regularly to make sure the information is still current, relevant, and seasonally accurate.

Independence

Green Thumb Notes’ editorial content is entirely independent. The topics we write about, the products we feature, and the opinions we share are based on our own genuine interest and research — never on commercial pressure.

Advertisers and affiliate partnerships do not influence what we write or how we write it. Our editorial decisions are ours alone.

Fairness & Transparency

We are transparent about who we are, how we make money, and how we create our content. If something on our blog is sponsored or contains affiliate links, we say so — clearly and at the top of the article.

We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews or editorial coverage.

Our Content Creation Process

How Articles Are Written

Green Thumb Notes articles are crafted with the following process:

  1. Topic Research — I identify topics based on what our readers are searching for, current gardening trends and seasons, and my own personal experiences and discoveries in the garden.
  2. Content Creation — Articles are written using a combination of my own knowledge and, in some cases, AI writing tools to help with drafts and structure.
  3. Personal Review & Editing — Every article is personally reviewed, edited, and refined by me before publishing. I check for accuracy, tone, and whether it actually feels useful and actionable for real gardeners.
  4. Images & Visual Curation — Visuals are carefully selected to inspire and complement the content, reflecting the natural, approachable aesthetic of Green Thumb Notes.
  5. Publishing — Once I’m satisfied with the quality of the piece, it goes live.

Our Use of AI Tools

In the interest of full transparency: Green Thumb Notes uses AI tools to assist in the content creation process. AI helps with research, drafting, and structuring articles.

However, every article is personally reviewed, edited, and approved by me — Dominik — before it is published. AI is a tool I use to work more efficiently, not a replacement for my own gardening knowledge, voice, or passion. The ideas, plant recommendations, and final decisions are always mine.

We believe transparency about AI use is important, and we are committed to ensuring every piece of content meets our personal quality standards before it reaches you.

Advertising & Commercial Activities

Editorial and Advertising Are Separate

The content you read on Green Thumb Notes is never influenced by our advertising relationships. What we write about is determined entirely by what we find genuinely interesting and useful for our readers.

Affiliate Links

From time to time, Green Thumb Notes includes affiliate links to products — primarily through the Amazon Associates program. These may include gardening tools, planters, seeds, outdoor furniture, and other home and garden products. If you purchase something through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate links only appear where they are genuinely relevant to the article. All articles containing affiliate links are clearly marked at the top of the post.

Sponsored Content

If we ever publish sponsored content, it will always be clearly labeled as such. Sponsored content does not guarantee a positive review — our editorial standards apply regardless of any commercial relationship.

Corrections & Updates

If you spot an inaccuracy, outdated information, or anything that doesn’t seem right, please get in touch. We take corrections seriously and will investigate promptly.
